Hamburg Heat

Hamburg, in most of my memories, is painted in shades of grey. I wonder if I can bring it to life with my illustrations. I’m captivated by kawaii characters, and I want to infuse them with the warmth of my own color palette—like a vibrant heat map radiating against the city’s cool, muted tones. These warm, lively figures would stand in bold contrast to the cold, grey backdrop, a joyful defiance against the city’s somber hues.

I developed my own workflow to create the visual i have in my head, out to paper, using something very hard to control like midjourney.

Step 1: Sketch the character

Step 2: Prompt the character into 3D with simple shade

Step 3: Prompt the character with heat gradient skin

And i have alot of fun.

Nothing beats the joy of preparing physical prints
